The Union is an exquisite shoe, but be aware that it is very high and can feel a little bit wobbly. That said, I would not part with the Union or any of my other NAOTs! Putting them on my feet I felt immediate comfort and I have worn them daily ever since. I bought a size 42 when my foot is usually a 40. The foot bed of the 40 was way too narrow and that is why I had never bought a NOAT before - my toes always fell over the side of the shoe. The 42 fit well with swollen hot feet, but now that it is getting cooler, yes even here in Greece, my foot has gone back to normal size and is slipping around in the shoe. Still, I wouldn't trade them for anything only next time I will try try on a 41 as well. the swelling underneath my right foot has decreased and is now less painful. After having tried on lots of shoes in my community and finding nothing comfortable, I finally went to the store that carried these. When I slipped into these shoes, I knew immediately they were the ones. I work in a hospital and am on my feet constantly through the day. With these shoes, my feet and legs no longer ache every night. Instead, I still feel energized and ready to enjoy my evening. This was my first Naot purchase but will definitely not be my last. The price is worth every penny! Also, my feet tend to run a bit narrow, and I usually have trouble with my heels slipping, but the adjustable strap of the Mary Jane style worked well for me, and with the addition of a heel harness to the inside of the shoe, I'm good to go. Reviewer: Shoe Girl from Louisville,KY - 07/01/2011 MALIBU Rating: I ordered the Naot Malibu Quartz in 8WW knowing that I would have to adjust the top strap to accommodate my high instep. I liked the shoes a lot and would have kept them, but the strap with the "bling" is securely attached to the top strap that goes across the instep. When that strap is loosened, it causes the bling strap to lay on a diagonal across the the foot. That strap should have had a loop that the instep strap fed through so it could be shifted back into place. If you don't need to adjust that top strap, this is a great shoe for you. Very feminine and classy! I am giving four stars because of what I see as a design flaw. Naot designers, if you are going to give people adjustable straps, you need to make sure the shoes looks just as good with the straps adjusted as it does the other way. I wear these everyday and am thrilled to enjoy sandals again. Only thing I would like to know is since the footbed is removable, where do you get a replacement if you so choose? Isis has the highest heel of my 3 pairs of Naot shoes, and they're just as comfortable as the lower-heel styles. Naots seem to defy their years of wear by looking like they're just out of the box. They have spoiled me in that I cannot stand other boots without the Naot footbed. These are my fall and spring boots - invincible in rain. I've tried to do rubber boots but they don't have the appearance and feel I prefer. I have slim calves, so I just nipped over to my cobbler and had them taken in. Worth every penny! I always get compliments on my boots, and I can wear them with jeggings, tights, jeans, dresses, skirts.. everything! It seems like the removable foot bed and rubber tub sole just isn't as resilient for as the old solid cork and eva for every day use. I found these shoes and absolutely fell in love! They are the ONLY shoe I can wear other than sneakers or fitflops. They are the best and feel all snug and comfy. After a year, both shoes came apart in the seams and the rubber sole separated from the leather. I use one as a slipper in the house during the winter, one for outdoors, and one as a backup. I find them to be very comfortable and the arch prevents plantar fasciitis. Yes, I have had one pair of soles split, "late in the game," where they flex, but Naot replaced them. Indeed, outer replacement soles cost only about $25. I have had my Jaspers resoled up to three times. And then, of course, the insoles can replaced too. I most highly endorse Naot's Jaspers! Texture goes well with a shiny bag of any color. Like that one can protect them and wear them as rain boots or in the winter. Lining is warm but not too bulky, so a good fall/spring boot, as well. It rains a lot here, and "Hunter" boots are in, here. I like them, but find they look terrible with fancier outfits. A 4 out of 5 ONLY because, as a previous poster already mentioned, they fit a little loose just under the knee. I am on my feet all day, I dont feel a thing. However, the squeaking is really frustrating. I took it to a shoe repair who determined, that an air pocket is in the bed of the shoe and their is nothing they can do to repair it. This is a $200 shoe and should not squeak. FYI: If you take out the insole and put baby powder in the shoe and put the insole back, it may help as per the store, but not for me. I loved the funky diamonte clip that gave the shoes a nice classy edge. As I have a medium to wide foot I also found the elastic strap under the front section a bit tight but solved the problem by cutting the elastic right off.
